I went back to the slots and finally gave up at 12:00 without getting another drink or seeing a waitress.
I flagged down three that said 'this is not my area, I can't take your order'. 7 hours later and moving around probably 25 times I still never had a waitress ask me for a drink. Literally within 10 seconds of sitting down a waitress came by and ask for drinks. In my previous trips the waitress service in casino has been very spotty so I went to bar to start with. I walked for about 20 minutes trying to find a black jack table less than $50 and finally gave up. There is a starbucks that I have never seen open in five visits. Casino's are not know to be value areas but $5 for a pre-made, pre-packaged self serve ice tea that's 12 oz and no re-fills seems a little excessive. There is one 'bistro' style coffee shop open for breakfast, that's the only option. No improvement from my prior trips in food and beverage service. Con-'s - It's DC so rooms can be pricey if you don't have comps. Smoke free casino floor, but outdoor smoking now with slots outdoors. Very polite staff, free parking, clean and modern facility. Great location, easy to access, free parking. You just arrive and go straight to your room. Pro's - Super clean and cool rooms, easiest check-in ever when they send the room 'key' to your phone. So a follow up to a prior review, based on a Thursday nights stay in June.
